Art of matter: Mumbai Gallery Weekend celebrates culture and art

0
If home is where the art is, then Mumbai is the place to be. The long-awaited event in the city’s artistic and cultural calendar celebrated its 10th edition last weekend.

The exhibitions highlighted the best art created in India and beyond, presented by top galleries. This year’s event showcased 23 galleries and design venues from across Mumbai.

The aim of the Mumbai Gallery Weekend was to breathe new life into the Mumbai art scene when it launched in 2012. Over the past ten years, this art-focused weekend has established itself as the one of Mumbai’s most important cultural events.

The 10th edition of Mumbai Gallery Weekend gave visitors the opportunity to experience a range of art-related events, all open to everyone and free of charge.

The event has grown each year to include more partners and evolved to engage a wider audience each year.
