COUNTY PRESS RELEASE
Los Alamos County has a collection of 140 pieces of public art throughout the county, which are on public land or in facilities, which residents and visitors may not recognize as public art. To help remedy this situation, the Art in Public Places Board (APP) and Los Alamos County staff have been working on a website that identifies the public art collection. of Los Alamos County.
The wait is over, visitors and residents of Los Alamos will now be able to find out where public art resides in Los Alamos County with the help of Public Art Archive, an online and mobile database of works by public art. This website hosts the entire Los Alamos County collection with descriptions, pictures, and directions for locations. The APP Board would like to encourage everyone to visit the site and discover the amazing works and artists in the collection.
The Los Alamos County Public Art Archives can be accessed directly through the following link: https://www.publicartarchive.org/los-alamos-county-public-art/ or through the Los Alamos County Community Services website, under Boards and Commissions, Art in Public Places.
