House of Blues, the venerable southern restaurant with live music, has just reopened after a $ 4.5 million renovation in Mandalay Bay. The new look gives the House of Blues Restaurant & Bar a distillery vibe, a look that carries over to the box office, Music Hall entrance and Gear Shop, the venue’s gift shop.
The renovated restaurant and bar now resembles a warehouse distillery with corrugated iron, aged steel, wood joinery, brick walls, riveted metal panels, and a copper still. A new mural with iconic singers such as Amy Winehouse by Scott Guion and folk art installations from the House of Blues art collection decorate the space, while at the front a new interior patio gives diners a view of the games room of the complex.
The stage remains, with each seat providing a good view of the performance. A new large rectangular bar anchors the space. House of Blues Restaurant & Bar will also unveil new private dining rooms, making their debut during the holidays.
