Are you a young artist?
The Vacaville Museum’s student art project, “Spring in Solano”, may be for you.
Register until January 15 to participate.
The exhibition opens on March 4.
The show will feature the work of Solano County students and will run until April 2.
The student artistic project “Spring in Solano” is open to colleges and high schools
students, under the age of 19, living or attending school in Solano County.
Participants are invited to submit their unique vision of “Spring at Solano” and will be
supplied with 8 × 8 canvas or mounted art paper, courtesy of funding from the Margaret Beelard Community Foundation.
Prizes will also be awarded and students will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to submit works of art for an exhibition and a jury in a professional setting.
The student art project will be exhibited at the Vacaville museum at the same time as the third installment of the museum’s popular “Jack” series, “Jacks or Better”.
“Spring in Solano” and “Jacks or Better” will be on display, with works of art available for
purchase, during regular Museum hours, Thursday to Saturday, 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The museum is located at 213 Buck Avenue.
